Our Mission

The Alameda County Fair Foundation’s sole purpose and mission is to create new opportunities for youth engagement, expand & enhance educational programs and fund capital projects that will strengthen the viability and relevancy of the Fair for future generations.

The Alameda County Fair Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Our Vision

For more than 100 years, Alameda County Fairgrounds has played an integral role in the preservation, promotion and advancement of Alameda County’s rich agricultural heritage. The Alameda County Fair Foundation was formed in recent years for the exclusive purpose of keeping the Fair’s mission alive and relevant for future generations. With an ambitious plan to build strategic partnerships and raise capital funding, the Fair Foundation aims to drive community outreach and youth engagement through the endowment of innovative, technology-based educational programs and facilities.

Mobile Farming

Our First Project: The Farm

From solar-powered milking parlors and greenhouse gardens to high-tech beehives, the Farm will offer the community a hands-on, Mother Nature-meets-cutting-edge-technology, farm-to-table experience. Students will learn all about the foods they eat and the amazing scientific innovations that make feeding and clothing an ever-growing population possible.

The Farm plans to offer experiential tours for school groups from all over Alameda County and beyond, on a twice-daily basis throughout the year.

Become a Fair Foundation Heritage Member

The Fair Foundation’s Heritage Membership was developed for people who are committed to the mission of the Foundation. Your yearly membership will be supporting the future of the Fairgrounds and the Foundation’s first project, The Farm.

In appreciation for your commitment, Heritage Platinum members will receive an exclusive Heritage Member jacket to wear during the Fair and other events. Heritage Gold members will receive a Heritage Member YETI cup to showcase your support.

Heritage Platinum Membership $500

Benefits of Platinum Membership include:
• Four one-day admission passes to the annual Fair
• Two general parking passes for the annual Fair
• Attendance for the member and one guest to VIP Heritage Member Events
• Exclusive Heritage Member jacket

Heritage Gold Membership $250

Benefits of Gold Membership include:
• Two one-day admission passes to the annual Fair
• One general parking pass for the annual Fair
• Attendance for the member to VIP Heritage Member Events (bring a guest for additional $25 donation)
• Heritage Member YETI cup
