Alameda County Fairgrounds & Event Center
SALARY: $115,000-$135,000 per annum
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Capital Project Manager oversees, plans and organizes large construction, renovation, and overall campus improvement. As the on-site manager, you will coordinate and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The Capital Project Manager oversees a multi-million dollar capital Master Plan and associated budgets. This Manager informs the Strategic Management Team and coordinates timely completion of projects around the events calendar. This is an onsite, exempt, full time position with generous benefit and leave package
SALARY: $20 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a seasonal full-time position with potential to evolve into a regular full-time benefited position. This position provides set-up and tear down for the more than 300 fairground events each year. This includes, but is not limited to, putting up pipe and drape, delivering tables and chairs, skirting tables, and responding to event promoter’s requests. This position requires heavy lifting and the ability to work well with our promoters, public and event staff. Candidates must be flexible to work any shift, including the late shifts as necessary
SALARY: $19/hr, based on experience
This Full-time, non-exempt, year-round position is responsible for day-to-day operations at the RV Campground & Storage facility, including interacting with RV Campground & Storage clients.
We are looking for a guest-oriented reception team member who can communicate in a friendly and effective manner. The ability to show understanding and the confidence to ensure compliance of policies and regulations, is a must. We are looking for someone who knows the basics of landscaping duties and has the knowledge and drive for general cleanup. Goo computer and customer service skills are essential for success. On site living is not provided.
SALARY: $21.89/hour
This full time Janitor position is at our Off-Track Betting Facility. This position is a SEIU union position. Shifts are Wednesday through Monday. This schedule may vary due to racing schedules, holidays and staff coverage. This full-time benefited Union position includes generous health and welfare package, sick leave, holiday and vacation pay according to the collective bargaining agreement. The selected candidate will be required to be in or join SEIU (Service Employees International Union) and remain in good standing throughout employment.
SALARY: $25 to $28/hour based on experience.
The Audio Technician will work with the IT Specialist and other departments as needed. This part-time position responsible for sound set-up, testing, operating and break-down of sound equipment for the Alameda County Fair and Fairgrounds
SALARY: $25 to $27/hour
The Junior Accountant and Contract Specialist is a full time, benefited position in our Accounting department. This position will perform basic accounting functions, such as accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation and data entry for journal entry or other reporting preparation.
SALARY: $18.50/hr
This is a seasonal full time position; responsible for general labor and custodial maintenance in our horse stabling area. This seasonal position runs from May through August supporting our Live Horse Race Meet.
Security
SALARY: $20-$23/hour based on experience
This full time, non-exempt position is responsible for securing and protecting our 267-acre property. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30pm to 11pm Swing Shift and include weekends during Events. This position is responsible for guarding and protecting gates, entrances, buildings, facilities and other designated posts on premises. Excellent problem solution, de-escalation and customer service skills are essential for success.

SALARY: $20-$23/hour, based on experience
