The iconic Californian festival features hundreds of food, merchandise, crafts, arts, games, music, and entertainment attractions in an epic event spread over 10+ football fields of space that appeals to all ages. The Bay Area’s Halloween Tradition! Pirates of Emerson returns to the Alameda County Fairgrounds! Get ready to scream at Northern California’s Premier WALK THRU Haunted Attraction!

Tickets are all sold online, there will be no on-site ticket sales available. Capacity limitations will be in place – tickets may sell out. Don’t miss out – buy early!

Additional safety measures include wider queue lines to accommodate social distancing and larger individual rooms. All Pirates of Emerson employees are required to be vaccinated.

District 5170 Avenues of Service Rotary Event. Rotarians and Prospective Members are Welcome!  Check out the Community and International Services Project Fair.  Prospective members cost is 1/2 price!!

Zooming Thursday features Best Practices including: Membership, Public Image, Foundation, and Avenues of Service. Hybrid Saturday features project fair, luncheon, Major Donor recognitions and a keynote speaker, Linda Coble, the first CBS female anchor of Honolulu.

October 9th | Powerhouse Comic Con

10am - 5pm

Powerhouse Comic Con is East Bay’s premier pop culture and comic convention bringing together fans of various fandoms for a day of family-friendly fun.

This year’s event is a celebration of the 55th anniversary of Ultraman. Join in the festivities with Special Guest Dore Kraus, an Australian actor who is well known for his role as Jack Shindo, the human host of Ultraman Great, in Ultraman: Towards the Future.

King King fans will be able to meet Linda Miller who is best known for her starring role as Lieutenant Susan Watson in “King Kong Escapes”. Widely distributed in the USA and throughout the world, the Toho sci-fi film cemented Linda’s place in popular culture as she joined the prestigious ranks of King Kong’s cinematic leading ladies.

Joining Linda Miller at the convention is Carl Craig. At age 10 Carl lived the dream of starring in a Japanese giant monster movie, playing the role of Jim Morgan, the all-American boy scout who helps Gamera thwart an alien invasion from the planet Viras in 1968’s “Destroy All Planets”, also known as “Gamera vs. Viras”.

Powerhouse Comic Con also features comic book artists, local comic book and toy vendors, panels, video games, and a cosplay contest with a cash prize.

The health and safety of our guests and staff is of the utmost importance and continues to be at the forefront during our reopening.  We are actively monitoring and following all State and County guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 and reopening.  Per the regulations set by Alameda County and the State of California, all unvaccinated guests are required to wear a face mask while visiting the Fairgrounds. Home to the Alameda County Fair, the Alameda County Fairgrounds is a lush 270-acre event center conveniently located in Pleasanton, CA. The Fairgrounds is host to more than 300 public and private events annually.  A true year-round event facility.
