The Farm will teach ag educationl and be a future field trip destination on the Fairgrounds serving schools in Alameda County and beyond. 

Today, most people associate their food coming from the grocery store, prepackaged and ready to go. The Farm provides opportunities to educate the community about local agriculture and where food really comes from. The Farm will also emphasize the link between agriculture, healthy living and farm-to-table initiatives.  

Complete with state of the art facilities, classrooms and laboratories, this 2-acre site will feature innovations in farming technology such as aquaponic gardens and electric milking stations, as well as highlighting the rich agricultural heritage of Alameda County.
