POSITION SUMMARY:
This full time position is responsible for day to day operations of the RV campground. This position is responsible for interacting with RV clients for both RV campgrounds. It reports to the RV Campground and Storage Supervisor.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell, book and schedule RV space for both RV South and RV North Campgrounds
  • Assist in the smooth management of all day-to-day operations of the campgrounds, including in and out guest management, conflict resolution and policy enforcement
  • Assure campgrounds are clean and supplies are stocked and organized
  • Assure all financial transactions meet accounting standards
  • Run RV Campground reports
  • Report park maintenance needs
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent customer service skills in person and over the telephone
  • Very good administrative and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of RV’s and their power requirements a plus
  • Proven ability to learn new, specialized software programs; experience with scheduling software a plus
  • Able to work independently as well as a team player
  • Strong ability to resolve conflict
  • Ability to accurately handle cash, credit , and check transactions
  • Ability to work weekends and some evenings

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Event Coordinator /Contract Specialist

SALARY: $18-$24/ hour- Based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY: This full-time, non-exempt position is responsible for booking, contract management, budget supervision and onsite management of events. Candidate must have strong knowledge of event labor and equipment needs, decorator experience and excellent communication skills. Must be able to write and present proposals effectively. This position will be responsible for contract development, review, revisions, and interpretation.  A qualified candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:     

  • Sell and book events within the parameters of an event calendar
  • Client management including site selection, proposal writing, contract negotiation, event production and conflict resolution
  • Manage contracts to ensure timely execution, maintenance of budget and accurate invoicing
  • Develop and review organizational contracts
  • Event production including event decorating, event implementation, support staff requirements
  • Coordinate across various departments to ensure event success and all contractual agreements are met
  • Act as liaison between client and staff
  • Prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted creative environment
  • Develop layouts using Party CAD and other similar software
  • Manage EBMS, reporting, training and troubleshooting
  • Prepare and ensure timely execution of monthly schedules, work orders, insurance submissions, etc.
  • Additional tasks, duties and projects as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 1-2 years of Event management experience
  • Law Degree or at least two years’ experience in contract development.
  • Exceptional communication skills including impeccable client interaction abilities
  • Computer skills including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and event software applications.
  • Proven ability to learn new computer programs, including Party CAD.
  • Able to provide assistance with decorating orders and other needs that promoters/vendors may request
  • Learn and gain basic knowledge of the electrical requirements for shows
  • Ability to adapt to unforeseeable challenges and opportunities with a solution- oriented perspective
  • Ability to work well under pressure
Able to walk, sit and lift 20 lbs. as part of the day to day experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a temporary, non- exempt, full-time position in our Maintenance Department. This positions will require some knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the plumbing trade; operation of building automation systems, applicable state and federal health and safety code requirements; methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment; safety precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of electronic and mechanical equipment.  Responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal on grounds.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installing or maintaining hot water heating systems
  • Repairing sanitation systems
  • Installing and repairing plumbing lines and pipes
  • Repairing and/or replacing broken and inoperable bathroom fixtures
  • Clearing and/or unclogging drains
  • Emergency repairs as needed
  • Maintaining water distribution system for on grounds
  • Other tasks as determined and required by management

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights
  • Knowledge of first aid and safety precautions.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team and complete daily activities according to work schedule.

POSITION: On-Call Janitor for Off-Track Betting Facility

POSITION SUMMARY:

This On-Call Janitor position is at our Off-Track Betting Facility. Shifts occur Wednesday through Monday and average 6 hours in length. On-Call Janitor positions are available for all 3 shifts: 11 AM to 6 PM (Wednesday-Sunday), 5 PM to 11 PM (Friday-Sunday), and 3 AM to 9:30 AM (Friday-Monday). This schedule may vary due to racing schedules, holidays and staff coverage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance of restrooms
  • Floor care including carpet and tile
  • Clearing and cleaning of tables as needed
  • Trash and general maintenance of facility
  • All other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in all aspects of janitorial including floor care
  • Previous experience using janitorial equipment such as mops, brooms and floor scrubbers preferred
  • Good communication and customer service skills

This is a temporary, part-time seasonal position is responsible for general labor and custodial maintenance in our horse stabling area. This position reports to the Stable Superintendent under the management of the Director of Racing. This seasonal position runs through our Fair Race Meet in July 2017.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Minor repairs
  • Ground Maintenance (mowing, weeding, etc.)
  • Monitoring Tenants on water control standards
  • Restroom and Building Maintenance
  • All other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License and CHRB License (or able to pass the background check that is required to obtain a CHRB License)
  • Experience in operating various landscape equipment, tractors and forklifts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous horse stabling or track experience desirable
  • Ability to speak both English and Spanish fluently desirable
  • General knowledge and basic welding experience desirable
